2017 USA Powerlifting Michigan State Meet

Thank you for visiting our site and we look forward to hosting Michigan’s greatest athletes and fans of powerlifting.

​Registration is scheduled to open October 1st, 2017

​Qualifying Requirements:

1.        Lifters must have a total from a USA Powerlifting meet on or after December 1, 2016 to qualify for the Michigan State meet.

2.       Your state of residence on your USA Powerlifting Membership must reflect Michigan – meaning, you must be a Michigan resident.

Saturday, December 2nd 2017

Registration will cut off on November 10th, 2017.

NO LATE ENTRIES WILL BE ACCEPTED!

Registration:

All participants must pre-register online.

All entries are non-refundable.

All entries are non-transferable

Meet Fees:

Required Meet Fee: $90

Events:

Included in meet fee of $90 is entry into one event of the lifter’s choice.

Events offered include:

Full Power

Bench Only

Push-Pull

Divisions:

Included in meet fee of $90 is entry into the open division.

Additional divisions may be selected at an additional cost of $20 per division.

Additional divisions offered include:

Teen (age groups – T1: 14-15, T2: 16-17, T3: 18-19)

Junior (age group: 20-23)

Masters (age group: M1: 40-49; M2: 50-59; M3: 60-69; M4: 70 and over)

Note: Master’s divisions will follow IPF standards for age divisions

YOUTH DIVISION WILL NOT BE OFFERED FOR THIS MEET

Check-in and Weigh-ins:

​Check-in from 7:00 am to 8:30 am

Weigh-Ins from 7:00 to 8:30 am

​Compulsory rules briefing at 8:30 am

​Lifting begins at 9:15 am

​Awards:

​Award ceremony will commence within 40 minutes after completion of all lifting on all platforms.

The following awards will be given:

Best overall male lifter based on Wilks’ points.

Best overall female lifter based on Wilks’ points.

Best overall male master lifter, based on Wilks’ points (if there are 6 of more male master lifters, this will be a trophy, otherwise it will be a medal).

Best overall female master lifter, based on Wilks’ points (if there are 6 of more female master lifters, this will be a trophy, otherwise it will be a medal).

Best overall male junior lifter, based on Wilks’ points (if there are 6 of more male junior lifters, this will be a trophy, otherwise it will be a medal).

Best overall female junior lifter, based on Wilks’ points (if there are 6 of more female junior lifters, this will be a trophy, otherwise it will be a medal).

Best overall male teen lifter, based on Wilks’ points (if there are 6 of more male teens, this will be a trophy, otherwise it will be a medal).

Best overall female teen lifter, based on Wilks’ points (if there are 6 of more female teens, this will be a trophy, otherwise it will be a medal).

Medals will be awarded for first through third place in each division, each weight group in each event.

​Eligibility and rules:

​All participants must be current USAPL members. (Register online: USAPL Membership Application)

Minimum 10% of participants will be drug tested by urinalysis.

​Required equipment:

1.       Singlet

2.       T-shirt (100% cotton, no V-neck, no pockets)

3.       knee-high socks for the deadlift

4.       brief-type non-supportive underwear

5.       athletic shoes.

Optional for raw competition: belt; wrist wraps; and neoprene knee sleeves. See rules and approved list at www.usapowerlifting.com.
